Museum Exhibits
I worked for the Wenatchee Valley Museum & Cultural Center from 2015 to 2023. Starting in the capacity of exhibits assistant, I worked on exhibits such as Wildfires and Us and Extraordinary Ordinary People. I was offered the position of Curator of Exhibits in 2016. In the following years I produced main gallery exhibits including Apple Capital Records and the award winning Beyond the Frame: Inland Bounty. The job was creatively demanding and included all aspects of new exhibit development. From conception, research, writing, graphic design, production, mount making, painting, installation, lighting, sound, and AV tech, I developed and installed over 50 exhibits in my time of employment. I also managed any traveling exhibits, contracts, loading and unloading, condition reports, assembly and packaging. I frequently assisted in community event planning and production. I managed storage space, haul and install artifacts of various materials, as well as cleaning, maintenance and updates in nearly 10,000 sq. ft. of permanent exhibit space housed within an historic building. I also worked with community partners to develop and install museum marketing or site-specific exhibits for locations outside of the museum.
